Dear Pearl,
Oh yes, how they like to sit back in judgement on those of us that “do.” I imagine the joke is on them in the end as no action has consequences of its own. At the end of the day, we may hurt, but we tried . . . we lived!
Miss D
It is a shame that for some, their judgment and criticism of other’s also makes them feel more comfortable and like superior beings. It is a shame if it is at someone else’s expense. It is a particularly a shame when that judgment is turned on a friend who has trusted and been open and honest about their feelings and yes even shortcomings if you will.
When one has bared their soul to a loved, trusted friend and confidante and that person in turn has judged and turned their back on you, it does make you feel as if you “threw your pearls before swine”. A particular sore spot with me as it leaves wounds and holes in your heart.
I will now get off of my “soapbox” to say this a brilliant piece, as always and as always you make me think!
HUH? This is where I go to my room and play my guitar, right?
